Wiz Kahlifa – Birmingham O2 Academy

I find it kinda interesting how an artist like Wiz Kahlifa can be so successful yet still so unknown with a big chunk of the population.

He’s been on the cover of Rolling Stone, had a number one single in the US and a debut album that’s sold over 600,000 copies this year, but I’ve spoken to a few people this week that have never heard of him.

3000 people at a sold out Birmingham Academy show certainly know who he is though and the atmosphere in the venue on Thursday night was crazy.

Despite his popularity, I was surprised to find myself being the only photographer accredited to shoot the gig.
