Let me start off by saying Lisa & Bevis found one of the coolest wedding venues we’ve been to – Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings.
This place has rescued and restored buildings spanning seven centuries and carefully rebuilt them on a beautiful open-air site in the north of Worcestershire. We had so much to work with I could have spent hours with the couple. It’d be a great venue for a Trash The Dress / Shoot The Dress / Rock The Frock session.
Lisa & Bevis are our kind of people. Laid back, fun and looking for something a little different with their photos. Their wedding was great fun and Anna & I stayed until after midnight to capture their day in full.
Here are just a few of the images we came back with…
The service was at a little church in Frankley, Birmingham. The vicar was another “no photos during the service” advocate (SO annoying!) but we again managed to sneak a few for the couple to remember the event by.
And then it was on to Avoncroft Museum…
While everyone had dinner we snuck off with the rings to get some cool shots like these..
And then it was time for the speeches..
What’s got 2 forefingers and gives great speeches?
Can’t you just tell from these pictures that the best man is a school teacher?!
After dinner we headed out around the amazing location to make some portraits of Lisa & Bevis before the light faded..
I think I photographed some ghosts while we were out! Or maybe they were people who dress up in period costume for the fun of it. Either way, they’re a little bit weird.
Lisa & Bevis – Rockstars!
Time to party!
A little drama 🙂
Quite simply, a GREAT wedding. Anna & I had a blast. We even got to ride the model railway!
Congrats to Lisa & Bevis. Another superstar couple 🙂
