Catherine & Darren’s wedding at the spectacular Walcot Hall was one of those days that reminds me why I love this job so much.
The day was full of laughter from beginning to end, only interrupted for a few tears when emotions ran high.
We started the evening before the wedding, meeting guests and sharing a few drinks and nibbles. Taking a few photos. And then, the wedding day itself was an absolute pleasure to be a part of.
Emotions ran high, especially when Catherine surprised Darren with a pre-recorded version of Paramore’s “The Only Exception” as she walked down the aisle that she’d recorded especially, after months of singing lessons. Amazing!
Walcot Hall is a wedding photography paradise. A beautiful venue surrounded by stunning grounds that include some truly unique features, as you’ll see below. The reception hall itself is decorated with gorgeous colours that can really add to the wedding photos. This is one wedding venue I would never get bored of photographing at.
That signing board was a shot taken on their engagement shoot in Swansea by the way 🙂
This wedding was also featured on the Bridal Soup wedding blog.
Thanks to Mark Newton for helping me on this one.

Below is a short slideshow of some of my favourite recent wedding photos… Take a look. And turn the sound up!
I’m a Brit living with my wife, Evelyne and our three boys! Evelyne and I met in the Alps in 2003 when Evelyne thought she was a cool snowboarder and I thought I was a superstar DJ. We got married in 2007 in Cornwall, England.
I photographed my first wedding in 2006 and have now shot almost 500 weddings, mostly in Canada & the UK, but I absolutely love travelling anywhere in the world. I enjoyed it when I started but love my job now more than ever.
