Stonefields Estate in Ottawa is a truly amazing wedding venue and one that I believe suits my style of photography perfectly. It has that relaxed, informal vibe yet remains absolutely stylish and beautiful. Stonefields is an award-winning wedding and event venue renowned for its scenic beauty and rustic elegance. A Stonefields Estate wedding also has a huge amount of potential for wedding photographers. The building and the grounds make for a perfect backdrop for wedding photos!
This centuries-old estate is breathtaking and will absolutely wow your wedding guests. From the sweeping fields to the old stone farmhouse, rustic barns and country gardens, Stonefields offers everything you need for an amazing wedding day.
Owners Stephanie and Steve Malenfant are the team behind this fantastic venue. Their focus on excellence, warm customer service, exquisite cuisine and high-end hospitality have firmly established Stonefields as one of Canada’s top wedding venues.
Located in Beckwith, Ontario, the estate is a 20-minute drive from the nation’s capital.
Recently I was chatting with another wedding photographer about the best wedding venues in this part of Canada and I asked her which venue she would choose if she was getting married. Her answer: Stonefields Estate. And it’s easier to see why.
At Stonefields they say the venue “offers a magical setting for the start of your journey through life as a couple. We believe your wedding day should be all about you. When you book with Stonefields, you get exclusive access to our historic farm for your wedding. That’s right, we host only one wedding each day.” One wedding a day means no other brides in the background or guests getting mixed up as to which room to head to! It happens. So a Stonefields Estate wedding means you’ll have the place to yourselves and that just makes everything more fun, right?
In the run-up to the ceremony, you can get ready within the great room with your bridal party and in the Badchild Pub with your groomsmen. You have the option to tie the knot on the front steps of the stone farmhouse, nestled between stunning rustic barns, or with the Stonefields Loft and windswept fields as your backdrop.
Let your guests enjoy some downtime in the courtyard for cocktail hour while you and your wedding party have fun taking photos around the farm.
And maybe escape for a few minutes in the Hawkins Settler’s Cabin where you can take a moment to breathe before celebrating with a sumptuous meal and then dance the night away at your reception in the Stonefields Loft.
I just booked Amanda & Thierry’s wedding at Stonefields Estate for next year and I’m super-excited to be there to capture it all for them.
