Rise Against – Live!

Regular readers of my blog will remember my post listing my favourite albums of 2008 and there at No.6 is the latest release from Rise Against. Although they’ve been around for years I can’t say I’ve followed them that closely until recently but I’m now a complete convert.

Last Thursday I photographed them when they played to a packed out Academy. I’ve shot them before a couple of times but this time got some of my favourite photos of them.

Check out their Myspace page if you want to find out more about the band.

I love this band! I’ve never seen them live but I can’t stop listening to their music. One of these days I’ll go to their concerts. Just got to prep the body for all the bruises it’ll get. You are so lucky. Not only do you get to do what you love; photography, but you also get to listen to some amazing bands live! Not to mention your photographs kick ass.

Hi there, love the shots. was an excellent show, helped by the fact that I was front row. and you actually got a nice snap of me and my friend here:

I was wondering if you had a higher quality/larger version of this picture
I’m the guy on the right in the Dream Theater shirt 😀
I’d love larger versions of any of the photos from the show but if you could e-mail me that one I’d be very happy
    thank youu 🙂

Awsome shots, would have loved to photograph them myself. saw you with the brum live t shirt on, had to check it out.

These pics are a great inspiration. Was wondering what equipment you used to take the shots?

Anyways, again, absolutly amazing pictures. Might see you at another brum gig soon.

Gareth, I do sell individual prints if you’re interested. Just email me 🙂

Jon, Cheers for the comment. I shot this gig with my faithful Canon 1DS MkII and the 24-70 2.8 lens which I use for most indoor gigs. Keep an eye out for me at future gigs 🙂
