THANK YOU. Obsessed would be an understatement. We love love love the photos.
Driving 4 hours for pre-wedding photos is not something I do often but Nabila & Christian’s session in Quebec City was totally worth the effort.
These guys wanted to do a shoot in one of their favourite cities just three days before the wedding itself, which happened at the William Grey Hotel here in Montreal. They opted to dress in their wedding outfits rather than the casual clothes most people choose for an engagement shoot but that allowed me to get some pretty epic shots with a wedding dress and suit and that’s pretty cool!
Quebec City is gorgeous! It has a ton of history and feels very much European. It’s almost like being in Belgium or some remote Swiss village than being in Canada. Around every corner, there is another great location for photos.
We were lucky with the weather, although we had hoped for an amazing sunset from the top of the hill. That didn’t quite materialise but we still got some beautiful light and that’s more important.
Big thanks to Nabila & Christian. This was a superfun shoot. The wedding photos will be ready soon 🙂
Below is a short slideshow of some of my favourite recent wedding photos… Take a look. And turn the sound up!
I’m a Brit living in Montreal with my wife, Evelyne and our three boys! Evelyne and I met in the Alps in 2003 when Evelyne thought she was a cool snowboarder and I thought I was a superstar DJ. We got married in 2007 in Cornwall, England and moved to Canada in 2014.
I photographed my first wedding in 2006 and have now shot almost 500 weddings, mostly in Canada & the UK, but I absolutely love travelling anywhere in the world. I enjoyed it when I started but love my job now more than ever.
