I’ve been a huge Nine Inch Nails fan since Day 1.
Ever since catching the video for Down In It on MTV (back when MTV was good) I’ve followed them with a passion. I saw their first ever UK gig and have caught them many times since. They never let me down.
This week Evelyne & I headed over to Birmingham’s LG Arena to catch Mr Reznor and the band play a quite awe inspiring gig. I reviewed it HERE for the Birmingham Live site if you wanna know more.
I was one of only two photographers to shoot the gig. Here are a few photos from Sunday night’s show…
*The photo of Trent and myself is from an earlier gig.
Great photos mate. Can’t believe you pretty much had the photo pit to yourself. And got to meet the man too. What a night. I saw them play Birmingham for the first time at Goldwyns in 89/90 (?) This gig quite possibly topped that.
I was at that Goldwyns gig too Lee. It was actually September 1991. I went home with Trent’s smashed up keyboard.
Favourite band ever…Been a fan for over 20 years. Very jealous. Fantastic work Steve.
Wow, awesome pics that have done the band justice, Steve. They are a band who always sound stunning and look stunning and you did an awesome job capturing that too.
Absolutely loved the gig. Was probably even better than the amazing Reading `07 show where blew the Smashing Pumpkins off the stage!
A few people don`t like the lack of crowd interaction, but when the overall experience is so good, who cares.
Totally agree Dan. NIN stole the show at Reading 07.
Steve. Have you still got that smashed keyboard? I remember it clearly. He wiped it out with the mic stand. Keys flying everywhere.
Believe it or not I left it at a rented house when I moved out! Doh!
