Thank you so much. We are very happy with the pictures. They look amazing!!!
Daeun + Youngchan’s Korean wedding in Montreal was something a little different for me and I love shooting any wedding that’s out of the ordinary.
After getting ready at a downtown salon the ceremony was held at Montreal United Korean Church and was pretty emotional throughout. They had friends sing and play music during the ceremony and then invited all their guests to join them for the tea ceremony downstairs.
We had a ton of time for portraits at this wedding, with Daeun & Youngchan both changing from traditional Korean outfits to their western wedding clothing for the second part of the day. Some portraits were close to their church, whereas many were taken in and around Old Montreal, which is where they held their reception party.
The reception was held in a loft, making it feel relaxed, informal and more like a house party. There were speeches, a few tears, a lot of laughs and plenty of dancefloor action. Good times indeed!
This couple could not have been more welcoming to me and I really loved shooting this wedding for them. Big thanks to Daeun & Youngchan for trusting me to capture it all.

Below is a short slideshow of some of my favourite recent wedding photos… Take a look. And turn the sound up!
I’m a Brit living in Montreal with my wife, Evelyne and our three boys! Evelyne and I met in the Alps in 2003 when Evelyne thought she was a cool snowboarder and I thought I was a superstar DJ. We got married in 2007 in Cornwall, England and moved to Canada in 2014.
I photographed my first wedding in 2006 and have now shot almost 500 weddings, mostly in Canada & the UK, but I absolutely love travelling anywhere in the world. I enjoyed it when I started but love my job now more than ever.
