Kate & Dan came to us through our good friend Lisa Gault who photographed our own wedding. Their wedding was on the shortest Saturday of the year in terms of light. It went dark before 4pm! As any wedding photographer will tell you, winter weddings can be super-tricky but are also completely different from summer weddings in many other ways. There’s an extra air of romance about them I think.
This wedding was in a gorgeous little village in Somerset called Kingston Seymour. The whole village seemed to be invited and half of them had helped out. Kate’s sister even made the cake!
I had too many favourites that I wanted to blog but here are just a few from their winter wedding…
Ready to go…
And on to the church to meet the groom and his best man..
Don’t they make a lovely couple?!
As it was a country wedding, the guests were escorted to the church in style.
Rockin’ the Cornish kilts!
How to make an impressive exit:
And over the road to the reception.. And some great speeches…
… and emotions run over…
We like to stay late at weddings. Night time is when things get a little more interesting 😉
And the coolest cameras in the world are turned on yours truly.
We had a great time at this wedding. The guests were a really fun group and Kate & Dan made our job so easy. Thanks to Kate’s mom for a delicious brunch too 🙂
Thanks for having us there to cover a fantastic wedding guys. Looking forward to designing the perfect wedding album. And thanks also to Lisa Gault.
OK… I LOVE this image.
