News From The Gerrards…

Ok, Steve…. deep breath…..

This is big news. For us anyway…

It’s something Evelyne and I have chatted about frequently over the years but we finally made a decision….

We are moving to Montreal.

Yep. By the end of the year we plan to have sold our house and moved everything over the Atlantic to Evelyne’s home town. It’s an amazing city. I’ve already had so many fantastic times there and I’m absolutely excited about this new chapter in our lives.

For our clients, FEAR NOT, I will be flying back to the UK regularly to shoot weddings etc. We are still taking bookings in the same way, we’ll just have a new address. And I’ll obviously be building up the business in Canada and fully intend to be a transatlantic photographer for a while.

I’ve even set up a new site called Montreal Rocks which I’m really excited about and will help me to get involved in the Montreal music scene.

We’ve told the kids. They’re excited. We’ve told my family (not easy!) and a few friends. And everyone is invited to come to visit whenever they like. And we’ll be back in the UK regularly to shoot weddings, see family & friends and stock up on M&S teabags, Daddies Brown Sauce & Percy Pigs!

And I need to dramatically improve my french!

Exciting & scary in equal measures I think. But isn’t that exactly how life should be?! 🙂
