Steve Gerrard Photography website

It’s finally done!

We began discussing ideas for the new look Steve Gerrard Photography site a few weeks ago following discussions with some photographer friends while I was in England. We loved the old site but felt it was time for something a little fresher, slicker and more modern. I also felt that certain parts of the site needed some TLC, especially the Portfolio page.

So, for the past two weeks I’ve been working with Bryn at Growing Kenneth on designing, building and adding content to the new site. There have been a few challenges to overcome but Bryn has been an absolute legend and gone above and beyond to make it all happen.

It took me around 2 days just adding images to the Portfolio! Evelyne has also been amazing and kept the house running smoothly while I work on the site. My support network is kind of fantastic.

There’s also a very smart guy called Kevin at Basalt Digital who has been a huge help figuring out some of the back end of the website so our SEO stays as strong as possible.

Amongst the new bit we’ve added I hope a few people will enjoy the Spotify playlists you can find on the Home page and About Me page. Something for any mood I believe.

I’ve also added a new Training option that I think a lot of people will find interesting. You can now book Skype mentoring sessions by the hour where I’ll be available to help with anything from how to use your camera to editing, finding clients, posing, shooting bands or whatever else you think will help you as a photographer. You can find more details on the Training page.

We still offer the one-to-one/group workshops in person. And if you’re in the UK on April 13th we have a couple of places left on the Wedding Photography Workshop in Birmingham.

And then there’s this…. I BLOGGED MY FAVOURITE PHOTOS OF 2016!!!
Yes I know we are half way through March but I wanted to wait until the site was ready.

So, please spend some time exploring the new site. We’ve worked hard on it and I’m super happy with how it’s all looking.

I think I deserve a weekend off. I have the new Depeche Mode album to listen to, we have a St Patrick’s Day parade tomorrow and I’m off to see some amazing bands tonight in Montreal. You can see more of all that on my Instagram Stories…. Til next time…
