Evelyne made a video…

{watch in full screen mode}

2015 was a year of ups n’ downs.

Quite a few of those were in airplanes taking me to weddings around the world…. England, Iceland, Croatia, Italy, Wales, South Africa. It was almost all great but, as the year went on, I was becoming more and more homesick and craving some downtime with Evelyne and the boys.

By December, after one last wedding in London, I was ready to start ignoring my inbox and my to-do list and to spend some quality time with the family. And Evelyne decided it was time to take the camera from my hands, switch it to video mode and make a new video for us to remember this time in our lives.

The video was filmed over Christmas and New Year 2015. Please excuse my sledging abilities!

I LOVE this video. I will watch it all the time. I hope I’ll be watching it in many years to come when the kids are adults and these years are a distant memory. Evelyne is good at this stuff. I think if she took it seriously she could make a career of it. She’d probably disagree with me. I’m just really glad she makes the effort every now and then, even if it is only for our own memories.

As 2016 begins and we start to open up the emails again, add to the to-do list and plan a whole new year, I’m excited to see what the future holds. There will be a lot more planes this year. A lot of weddings. A lot of gigs. New friends, new adventures, new struggles and a few things we’ll undoubtedly regret this time next year. But that’s ok.

Happy 2016 folks…
