My Albums Of The Year 2014

I’m not sure 2014 was the best year for music but there were still some absolute gems out there.

As usual I spent far too much time and money seeking out new music as well as waiting for new released by some of my all-time favourite bands.

My music tastes seem to keep getting more and more diverse, which I consider a good thing so this list features everything from acoustic singer/songwriters and alt-country to hip hop and modern pop through to hardcore and extreme metal.

You’ll disagree with some. Think I’m mental for others. But maybe you’ll also stumble across something you love that you may have missed in the ever-expanding world of music.

These are my albums of the year. It was a close run thing but The War On Drugs album came out on top for me. BBC 6 Music and Q Magazine agreed with me. Here’s to another brilliant year of music in 2015….
