Apart from festivals, this summer has been a bit quiet on the live music scene for me. We saw Pearl Jam a couple of times and then, in August, I travelled up to Manchester Apollo – the venue where I saw my first ever concert in the 80s – to see the mighty Jane’s Addiction.
I’ve seen Jane’s quite a few times and this gig was up there with the best of ’em. They played Nothing’s Shocking in full and then followed that by a set of absolute gems from their back catalogue. The whole band were on top form and the gig reminded me of some of the classic gigs I went to back in the day.
So, so good!
