Jane & Phil chose 18th December 2010 as the day they’d get married. Little did they know what the weather men had in store for that date…
I arrived in London that morning while my Twitter and Facebook friends left me messages about the heavy snow due to land on the capital later that day. I’m sure they’re exaggerating, I thought…
As Jane and the bridesmaids fixed their hair and makeup at the hotel, the snow began to fall. And fall. And then fall some more, only slightly heavier!
By the time we moved up the road to RIBA, the snow was deep. And still coming down. Phil struggled to find a cab due to the snow, so the boys took the Tube to the venue.
Luckily for everyone, all their guests made it to the wedding and a fun time was had by all. This was one stylish wedding in a stunning venue.
From a photography point of view, it had its challenges. A 3:30 wedding in mid-December meant no photos of the couple in daylight. The large group shot was taken inside. We did a few couple shots outside in the snow but had to work fast so that Jane didn’t freeze to death! 🙂
My journey home was appalling. I finally made it home at 4:30am! It was all worth it.
Big thanks to Tamryn Henn for second shooting with me.
We brought the Fun Booth along too. Much more of that another time 😉
Huge congrats to Jane & Phil and thanks to you both for having us be a part of your day. It was a fantastic day!
