Just before Christmas I shot a really fun wedding at Somerford Hall with the help of my good pal Lee Allen. Hazel & Richard are a great, easy-going couple and the whole day was fantastic, with Hazel’s amazing dress from Hollywood Dreams really having that “Wow!” factor. There were even two couples at the wedding whose weddings we had covered earlier in the year so it was great seeing a few familiar faces.
Somerford Hall is a lovely venue with the nicest staff possible and, although this was a cold winter’s day, the weather was still fine outside for a few photos.
This deep red colour was a recurring theme throughout the wedding and perfectly suited the festive season.
And then there was THAT dress!
Say hello to our groom…
You can imagine the reaction when Hazel made her big entrance. She looked amazing!
Rich’s now infamous best man! Don’t ask!
Being keen snowboarders, and having their honeymoon on the slopes in Whistler the snow theme was brought beautifully to their very cool wedding cake.
Here’s Claire & Andy whose wedding we covered in September 🙂
Christmas weddings always have something a little special about them I think.
The evening’s entertainment included one of our favourite DJs, Chris Friswell, and a few casino tables to make things interesting…
We even encouraged the guests to make fool of themselves, with the help of a few props. I have to say that almost everyone was up for a little tomfoolery by this time and we had such a laugh with people 🙂
Everyone braved the cold for a spectacular firework display and then warmed themselves back up by hitting the dancefloor.
Yet another great wedding to be a part of. Lee and I had such a good day. Good to meet the guys from Electra Wedding Films too who did the video coverage. I’m sure we’ll be bumping into them again on our travels. Hazel & Richard are having a bespoke album from Queensberry in New Zealand and we can’t wait to start designing it for them. All the best for the future guys and thanks for having us there to witness such a fantastic day 🙂
