Photographing legendary bands is always a thrill. And when those bands are part of my musical upbringing it takes on even more meaning. Deep Purple and Judas Priest may be getting on a bit now but when I first saw them live back in the 80s they were at the top of their game and remain two of the most influential bands in rock & metal.
They recently played here in Montreal at the Bell Centre. It was my first time shooting at the Bell Centre in over a year. The last time was quite a different show too as it was Chance The Rapper. This show could not have been more different, from the music to the outfits on stage to the average age of the fans filling the arena.
I never stayed for the full show but just had the first three songs of each band to shoot. I was photographing for the Montreal Rocks site. You can see the full review HERE.
