If there’s one thing nobody can plan about their wedding day it’s the weather. Especially in the good old UK!
Claire & Andy were unfortunate enough to choose one of the wettest days of the year for their wedding and made good use of umbrellas throughout the day. Some people might let the weather spoil their day but these two just got on with enjoying the company of friends and family and, when the rain did ease off, we snuck off outside to get some images of the couple together.
I started off with Claire getting ready at The Belfry hotel and then at the house…
Sometimes when I press the shutter I realise straight away I’ve captured an image which will be important to the family for years to come..
Ready to get married!
On to the church.
The reception was held at Drayton Manor Park. We just HAD to make the most of the place while the rain eased off for a while.
Luckily for us there were some cool, funky backgrounds inside the venue… You may recognise the guy on the right in this one!
Andy & his best man.
And the first dance.
In the evening the rain did eventually die down so we took advantage and, with a little help from our video light, got these intimate portraits of the couple.
So, if you’re getting married soon remember you can’t rely on the weather, even in the summer. But if it does rain, you can’t let it affect your day! Do what Claire & Andy did – Ignore the rain and have a fantastic time with your friends and family and your new husband/wife 🙂
Thanks so much Claire & Andy for having us along on the big day. We had a great time with your guests and we can’t wait to deliver your finished album to you.
Thanks also to the lovely Bianca for being my second shooter on the day.
